Where identity comes alive
Not every identity needs another conventional sign.
For the Hamad Medical Corporation offices, Gulfcrafts delivered bespoke decorative walls where living greenery, skilled woodwork, advanced printing and illumination come together as part of one integrated feature.
Getting those different elements to communicate with each other required considerable R&D. Materials and printing techniques were explored alongside the lighting to achieve the right visual effect, while the woodwork demanded the level of craftsmanship needed to bring very different surfaces and details together neatly. One of the features incorporated an illuminated map of Doha, adding another layer of depth and character to the space.
The living green wall brought a very different material into the mix. Designed with limited watering requirements, it introduced real greenery into the office environment while offering a more resource-conscious approach to an interior feature.
The result brings together technology and craftsmanship, natural and manufactured materials, precision and a little imagination. A niche project, perhaps, but one that shows how signage can move beyond the expected when the space calls for something unique.
